About VideoGenealogy

What if you could take a trip in a time machine and show your family their ancestor’s world.  What genealogist hasn’t wanted to do that?  Viewing and making a genealogy video can be like time travel.  By creating a video you immerse yourself in images, sounds, and stories from the time of your ancestor to bring their world alive!

VideoGenealogy.com is all about making genealogy videos, seeing great examples of ancestor video stories, discovering where to find the images and audio for your video, sharing tips on how to put together a video and most importantly, taking action on making a video to share with your family so they can take that exciting trip back in time to meet their ancestors!  Explore the articles and resources here on the website and have fun!

VideoGenealogy will show you how to get your family’s attention with Ancestor Story Videos. You can get started now with the Ancestor Story Video Starter Kit by clicking here. Or dive in deep with the Ancestors Alive On Video course here.

Margaret, we hope your travel home was smooth. Ours was a little uncertain as we started through Wyoming on Sunday morning but all worked out and we arrived home mid-afternoon yesterday. It was nice to meet you and to become familiar with your work.

      Marcia,
It was so nice to meet you and Ken at RootsTech. I got home safe, despite a 1.5 hour flight delay in Denver – a bit painful because the flight was pushed from 12 Midnight to 1:30 am. I had a great time talking to vendors and attendees. Looking forward to sharing what I learned with the Video Genealogy community!
I’d love to hear more about Ken’s migration visualization project!
